Workshop on Social Acceptance in the European Raw Materials sector

5 June 2018 Events

CHROMIC will participate and present the current results of the Community Involvement to the Social License to Operate (SLO) clustering event dedicated to the HORIZON 2020 ongoing projects, which takes place on the 5th of June in Brussels.
The SLO concept has become increasingly important in the H2020 calls for projects, which nowadays explicitely ask consortia to integrate a clear strategy on how to engage civil society in order to foster trust in the mining and recycling sector in Europe.

The workshop will be an interactive event where thirty EU H2020 projects will have the opportunity to present and discuss the approaches taken and the lessons learned in the pursuit of social acceptance, as well as to exchange ideas concerning the future use of European funding for the development of new engaging schemes and the improvement of the existing ones. CHROMIC will be represented at the event by the project coordinator Liesbeth Horckmans and by the Community Involvement coordinator, Federica Manzoli.
The workshop is organized by the European Commission’s Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME).
